Fernando Alejandro Valadez Pérez

Specialist in Teaching and Training on issues of Migration, Human Groups, Mental Health, Torture, Addictions, Alcoholism, Theater Creativity, Psychodrama and Institutional Analysis. He is a doctor graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in 1970, a psychiatrist trained in the Central Military Hospital and Psychoanalyst of Groups and Institutions by the Mexican Association of Group Analytical Psychotherapy, AMPAG (member of & quot; International Association of Psychotherapy group ''). He has completed refresher courses in Mental Health, Migration and Torture, in the country, the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Founder and Coordinator of the Specialty in Psychological Assistance to Migrants of the Intercontinental University (UIC). Coordinated the Centers of Psychological Attention to Migrants in person and at a distance. Instructor of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and Human Rights (UNHCR and OHCHR).

He carried out pharmacological research and published with Dr. Rafael Méndez (National Science Award). He was Technical Director of the Centers for Youth Integration AC, has been Professor and Clinic for the last 50 years in the main universities of the country at undergraduate and graduate level: UNAM, Iberoamericana, Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), La Salle (Prof. founder of the Faculty of Medicine) has been a visiting professor at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, at UCLA in the United States and at Beth Berith in Israel.

He is the author and co-author of several publications. Professor at AMPAG; psychotherapist and expert in the Collective against torture and impunity (CCTI). Former advisor to the International Rehabilitation Council for Victims of Torture (IRCT) based in Copenhagen, Denmark. He coordinated for Mexico an investigation of 6 countries financed by the European Union.

He participated in the peace process in Guatemala, with a mental health team in Workshops for Life Change, in which psychodramatic techniques will be used and are reflected in the video "The Farewells" and in an article published by Groups magazine. He has attended several conferences, forums and symposiums, the last international to which he was invited as a speaker was "Fulfill the promise of the right to rehabilitation", Organized by CCTI and IRCT, held in the Cd.Mx. in 2016. He has had several radio and television programs.
