Elio Villasenor Gomez

He is a Sociologist from the Faculty of Political Sciences of the UNAM. He was a member of the Agreement for Democracy (ACUDE) in 1991 to observe the elections in Tabasco and San Luis Potosí, as well as co-organizer of the Plebiscite for the Political Reform of the Federal District (March 21, 1993), member of the Foreign Observers Commission of the August 1994 elections, Coordinated by Alianza Cívica, he was Technical Secretary of the Citizen Movement headed by Dr. Salvador Nava 1990-1994 and Commissioner in the Central Committee formed, to organize the elections of Citizen Councilors in Mexico City (1995 ). Counselor of the Federal Electoral Institute in the Local Board of the Federal District (2003), Counselor of the High Commissioner for the Transparency of Federal Social Programs of the UNDP. (2006) and Member of the Conciudadano Committee of the Electoral Reform (2006).

Elio Villaseñor was Professor at the Ibero-American University and at the Quiroga Basque School of Social Work (From 1977 to 1982), he is a Founding Partner and General Director of DECA, Equipo Pueblo (institution in which he participated from 1977 - 2006), he was a Member of the Technical Committee of the Foro de Apoyo Mutuo (FAM), a national network of NGOs active in social development since 1992 and a member of the Board of Trustees of the DEMOS Foundation since 1993.

He has been General Consultant of the Dutch Cooperation Agency NOVIB (From 1988 to 1997), he was Delegate of the Government of the Federal District in Iztapalapa from December 1997 to March 1999, he has been Consultant of Development and Peace of Canada and, French Catholic Committee (1986) and Citizen Counselor of IMER (2009).

He is currently a Founding Partner, General Director and Legal Representative of the Citizen Initiative for the Promotion of the Culture of Dialogue, AC, General Director of the Mexico City Initiative Liaison Offices in Los Angeles, LA, Chicago, Ills and the Federal District (project coordinated jointly with the Coordination of International Affairs of the Government of Mexico City). (2013 - To date) is Counselor of the Crusade against Hunger (2013 - To date) and was Citizen Counselor of the Advisory Council of the Institute of Mexicans Abroad (From 2012 to 2014. He is Counselor of the International Relations Career from the Popular Autonomous University of Puebla (2012 - To date) and General Coordinator of the Diploma "Psychological First Aid for migrants with a human rights perspective".

He has published more than 100 articles on Civil Society and Non-Governmental Organizations in specialized national and foreign magazines. He is editor-in-chief of the monthly electronic magazine “Brújula Ciudadana” and has participated in different processes of construction of projects, law initiatives and laws approved on citizen participation, among which are: the Initiative to reform the Organic Law of the Senate of the Republic 2006, the Law Initiative for the Reform of the State (2007), the Law of Rights, Protection and Support of Migrants and their Families (September 2009. Morelia, Michoacán.), the Law of Hospitality for Migrants and their families (August 2010.- Mexico, DF), the Law for the formation of the Economic and Social Council of the State of Michoacán (Morelia, Michoacán. December 2010), The Law to promote the rights of migrants and their families in Oaxaca (2013). Among the most important
