Ana Elena Barrios Juárez Badillo

Psychologist, studied Master in Intercultural Psychology, in Lyon, France, Pensum of Master in Social Psychology and Political Violence in Guatemala and the specialty in "Psychosocial Supervision", by the Community Studies and Psychosocial Action Team, and the German Association of Psychosocial Supervision , also in Guatemala. He has worked with migrants in various contexts for thirteen years. First as a volunteer at the Casa del Migrante in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico's northern border. Then in Lyon, France for two years, giving psycho-emotional care to asylum seekers. Since 2008 in Chiapas, for seven years in accompaniment to peasant and indigenous communities of origin of migrants, in particular with groups of women and groups of young people who work for the right not to migrate, as well as conducting psychosocial accompaniment with relatives of disappeared migrants. Since 2016, she has been part of the team at the Fray Matías de Córdova Human Rights Center, in Tapachula, working on the psycho-legal accompaniment of migrants.
