Mtro. Alexis Rivera-Ballesteros

Alexis Rivera-Ballesteros is a consultant for the Development Impact Evaluation (DIME) of the World Bank in Washington, DC He has a degree in Economics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and a Master in International Affairs from the School of Global Policy and Strategy at the University of California San Diego (UCSD).

His professional career has involved the private sector, academia, and non-profit organizations. In the private sector, he collaborated with the sales and finance areas of American Airlines México for six years. Within the academy, she worked as a research assistant and director of the International Studies Division of the Center for Economic Research and Teaching (CIDE), where she collaborated with the implementation of the Diploma in Migration and Governance and the Diploma in Negotiation, Mediation and Consensus Building from its first editions.

Additionally, for two years she served as a research assistant at the Center for US-Mexican Studies at UCSD and at the Big Pixel Initiative, a program that develops geospatial analysis with satellite images to solve international problems. Within the third sector, he has been an associate in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program of the Institute of the Americas and a consultant for The Maritime Alliance in San Diego, California.

He is a member of the Academic Network of Latin America and the Caribbean on China, a member of Partners of the Americas and recognized as one of the young leaders of Mexico and Latin America by CAF. He speaks 6 languages being Mandarin the one of his greatest interest.
